Euroshop 2017 review

EuroShop is famous as the largest trade fair in the world, taking place in Dusseldorf once every four years. In a repeat of its appearance three years ago, CoolPresentation also exhibited this year, but this time showcasing our completely new look. The result? Spot on!

The world of retail

First some facts. 18 exhibition halls. 127,000 m2 of exhibition floor. 2368 exhibitors. A record number of 113,000 visitors originating from over 130 countries, all busy with innovative, effective retail solutions. Visitors were given a choice from a whopping seven themes, including Shop Fitting & Store Design, which is where we presented our spot on shelf management solutions to the retail world!

Two-fold objective

CoolPresentation had a two-fold objective, according to export director Yvo Stoots: “Euroshop was where we showcased our new corporate identity for the first time. We wanted our visitors to become better acquainted with our one-stop solution. Therefore, the focus was shifted away from the product and was more on the added value for the customer and the consumer. And naturally we wanted to make contact with current and potential customers and distributors.”

SimpleClick, powered by CoolPresentation

“Our SimpleClick brand has traditionally played a major role in export. Our new strategy – including our export strategy – has placed more emphasis on CoolPresentation. Unlike previous years when we exhibited with SimpleClick, this year we opted for a more corporate approach with CoolPresentation, naturally with the SimpleClick brand as the most important presentation solution. This might have been a shift for some visitors, but we are very satisfied to see the response to this, from our existing business contacts, as well as our new ones.”

High-quality solutions

For many years, the exhibition in Dusseldorf has been famous for the high calibre of its visitors. According to Yvo, “This is due to the size and reputation of the trade fair. Visitors are genuinely searching for a solution; thus, in terms of the role – and decision-making authority – of visitors, it is always of interest to us to engage them in conversation. What did we notice? People are now increasingly willing to invest in high-quality solutions. Therefore, premium quality, generating returns for the customer as well as for end users. This is excellent news, as that is exactly what we rely on.”

From Canada to Australia

The fact that the entire retail world was present in Dusseldorf at the start of March is apparent from the number of promising meetings that took place with potential partners from all over the world, all in agreement that they consider the one-stop solution offered by CoolPresentation to be an addition to their range. By way of example, Yvo sums up: “We have made contact with organisations from countries such as Canada, Kenya, Kuwait, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Macedonia, Dubai and Australia. All service companies in fast-moving consumer goods where quality is the starting point and who therefore understand the value of shelf management for their customers. Because a perfect shelf always pays off, anywhere in the world. Soon we will announce the first foreign partner we have gained from this year’s EuroShop. This exhibition has unquestionably been ‘spot on’ for us!”
